However, Ibrahima's specialty is repairing djembes. It takes anywhere from 3 to 10 hours to repair a djembe depending on the work involved. When repairing the drum Ibrahima will patch and sand any problems with the body, re-wrap the rings if necessary and replace the nylon cord if needed or requested.
